Traditional Homes Built for 21st Century Living.
Anderson Development is a multi-award-winning property business, which specialises in new-build housing, commercial space and community infrastructure.
For more than a decade, we have grown an enviable reputation for quality and continue to live by our corporate ethos of ‘building value together’.
We achieve results by taking the time to understand the priorities of our landowners, our partners and of course the communities living alongside the developments we bring forward.
What underpins this year-on-year success is our dedicated workforce, many of whom have been with the business since its inception. We now directly employ 100 people, all of which are highly skilled and work seamlessly with our numerous trusted suppliers and sub-contractors, giving us the unique ability to operate at scale and to control the quality of build and landscaping.
It is for this reason that people continue to place their trust in Anderson Development, whether it is to unlock a complex regeneration project, or curate a bespoke housing scheme where character and craftmanship is called for.
Through this website we look to showcase and celebrate these successes and we invite you to contact us to discuss your development requirements.
“We decided to downsize to get ready for our retirement. It was a big decision as we did not feel ready at first and were “just looking”. But after seeing the bungalow, large garden, and the quality of the build from Anderson, it persuaded us to make the decision earlier. The design of the beautiful landscape area to the front of the development has created a welcoming and natural, biodiverse visual display. Our experience with Anderson Development right from Sales Office team through to the moving in date was exceptional, making us feel happy and reassured. Their Customer Care service provided a prompt and efficient response with good communication. We are so glad we made this move and choose a good developer and the location of Chilton Place and couldn’t be happier in our new home.”

“Working with Anderson Development continues to be a rewarding experience. ELD always offers a robust, practical and common sense approach to designing solutions that avoid impacts on major trees, landscape and heritage assets and Anderson’s team has always listened. By supporting our recommendations, they have created truly sustainable schemes; often accommodating quite significant redesigns to conserve and enhance natural assets. As a company, they clearly put the environment at the heart of their decision making, valuing their consultants’ advice, so that together, we can create the best balance of development, alongside an enhanced and well considered landscape setting.”
Ruth Elwood – Elwood Landscape Design
“The team at Anderson Development have a unique and entirely ‘open book’ way of engaging with local communities. The values of this company and its culture are a good match to those of our Organisation, which is a refreshing contrast to the typical approach of most companies in the building industry. I can genuinely say that it has been a pleasure working with Anderson Development these past five years – we don’t appreciate how Local Plans are forced on communities, but we very much welcome how senior representatives within this company have dedicated their time to helping this rural Village achieve the best possible outcome for our people.”
Bill Ratcliffe – Chair of the Blackmore Village Heritage Association
“The Sea Scouts in Faversham have had a long association with this former quarry site, occupying meeting halls there for over 50 years. When the land was sold for housing there was concern that even with planning conditions requiring the reprovision of our hall, we wouldn’t see this met by the incoming developer.
Nothing could be further from our experience with Anderson Development. The company has provided a fully functional temporary meeting space and storage enabling over 60 young people to continue to meet weekly to do the sailing, kayaking and other scouting activities they so much enjoy.
So, what about the permanent building? Anderson Development has gone above and beyond normal requirements; its senior managers and specialist staff have worked collaboratively with the Scout Group’s team of adult volunteers to turn the planning conditions on a document’s page into the reality of a new bespoke, energy efficient, accessibility compliant scout meeting building and grounds. The Group has been engaged every step of the way, from considering the best location option for this lake side boating base, to consultation on the building design and specification of the interiors. Anderson Development is fully funding the build and will provide the Group with stability with provision of a sensible long-term lease arrangement.
The Scout Group will be using the completed landmark building from early 2024, giving the opportunity to grow the number of young people that can enjoy what the Sea Scout Group has to offer, as a contributing part of the growing Faversham Lakes community.”
Simon Moore – District Commissioner
“Anderson Development think well beyond just doing what is required to look after trees during construction. They welcome the opportunity to work with schools to plant trees, create timber sculptures and provide educational experiences during site development It is a pleasure to work with a progressive company.”
Sharon Durdant-Hollamby – Chartered Arboriculturist
“Anderson has been a superb partner. They’ve brought forward a site at Erith that no one thought would be developed. It’s fantastic to see what it will deliver for the community.”
Baroness O’Neill of Bexley – Leader of the London Borough of Bexley
“We walked around the show house, loved the arrangements of the rooms and the 4 bedroom Willow fitted exactly what we wanted. Our home overlooks green space, is spacious and quiet. The quality of the finish is to a very high level, and we were pleasantly surprised at what was included in the price. We are amazed at how energy efficient it is and how it maintains a constant temperature. Such a difference from our old house where we had to light our wood burner as well as having the central heating on constantly. We have never lived in a new build property or a new development and it is so much better than we thought.”
